This is a vintage wide angle lens made for large format cameras up to 8x10".  Back in the late 1940s and 1950s this was considered the best wide angle you could buy for 8x10" format.   The compound shutter has had a recent service and works fine although they do tend to run a bit slow so a calibration test shot is useful before you put it into regular use.  Like all angulons these need to be stopped down to f16 or f22 to perform their best.
